Day of Defeat is a team-based first-person shooter multiplayer game developed and published by Valve. Its scenarios are set in the Europe's western front during World War II.
Day of Defeat simulates infantry battles between the two main adversaries of World War II: the Axis and the Allies, and on some maps also the British. The aim of this incredible title is to complete several objectives for each mission. Players choose which side to fight and what kind of character will your soldiers be. there are unique classes for the Allies and for the Axis. The class determines which kind of weapons they carry and their appearance.

Each round begins with both teams simultaneously in their respective areas of regeneration. A round ends when one team completed all their objectives.
The death of the player becomes reinforcements that are provided by a timer. The reinforcements are originated in areas of regeneration and can be composed of a soldier or even the entire group. The reinforcements timer usually varies between 10 and 20 seconds, depending on the server.

Objectives
The maps do not always have the same goals for both teams. Mainly, there are three types of objectives: -Capture the Flag. Players can capture a flag near them for a time variable. Some flags need more than one player to be caught. -Destroy the target. Players must destroy a target by placing a bomb. To place the bomb the player should be in the planned area for a while. The bombs can be turned off and always cause a huge explosion. -Capture the target. This is a variation of Capture the Flag, but the goal instead of a flag is another object, such as a truck, an airplane or a building.

To sum up, this is a very interesting team-based war game which war game fans should not miss.
